TraffordCity Arena: 3,000-seat ice venue proposed as new home for Manchester Storm

A 3,000-seat ice arena has been proposed for TraffordCity, with plans now submitted to Trafford Council. The venue would become Manchester Storm’s new home and host public skating, figure skating and community sessions, plus concerts and VR events. Operated by Planet Ice, it targets opening in late 2026 or early 2027. The project backs TraffordCity’s push to be a major UK leisure destination.
